Performance and Publication Launch by Natalia Castillo Rincón
The evening brings together the performance I Want to Knit a Mountain and the launch of the publication Cosechando Papayas en Berlín by Natalia Castillo Rincón.
I Want to Knit a Mountain reflects on the experience of migration through the image of a lost horizon and the ongoing effort of translating a life into a foreign language.
The publication Cosechando Papayas en Berlín accompanies a retrospective exhibition of the long-term project Papaya Patio. Through the figure of the papaya, the project reflects on the unequal circulation of bodies and goods, exploring migration, belonging, and the social and political conditions that shape mobility.
Workshops: 28 and 29 August 2026 17:00 - 19:00
Collective Embroidery
Collaborative Embroidery Workshop by Natalia Castillo Rincón
We invite you to take part in two collaborative workshops by Natalia Castillo Rincón centered on embroidery and poetry. Participants are welcome to join both days or attend either workshop independently. No previous experience with embroidery is necessary.
This first encounter is a collective embroidery workshop, where we will continue a piece that began with different groups in Germany and Colombia. Through a shared process of stitching, participants will contribute to a collective work while creating a space to reflect on migration, memory, language, and collective making.
Project supported by the Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y los Saberes de Colombia (Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge of Colombia).
